I am Romilda, also known on social media and in the cake & food world as Pien Punt (Taartenenzoo)
More than 10 years ago I started baking a cake for the first time, and it quickly blossomed into a huge passion;
I started reading lots of cake and baking books, watched online tutorials, and attended informative workshops with inspiring cake artists and pastry chefs. Within a short time, I built up a wealth of knowledge in my head and a deep love for baking in my heart.
I started blogging about my baking adventures for the magazine Mjamtaart, and I enjoyed doing so for 10 years.
In 2017, I attended my first cake fairs and entered competitions for the first time. I unexpectedly finished in the top 10 of Great British Cake Decorators, won gold with my piece in India, took first place with my cake on the program "HHB Smaakt naar meer" (HHB Tastes Like More), and had my own tutorials featured in various magazines, both nationally and internationally.
I've participated in many collaborations and in 2019, I gave my first workshop at Mjamtaart's Cake Experience. Since then, I've written a book, run my own website and food blog, and work on food styling and photography, creating recipes in collaboration with other companies. I offer workshops very sporadically, so be quick if you want to secure a spot!
